Albert Paley

Born in 1944, Albert Paley began his career in New York City as an art jeweler. In 1969, he relocated to Rochester, New York to teach at the Rochester Institute. After the success and recognition of his work, Portal Gates, Paley became a metal sculptor and worked in the decorative arts. Paley is the first metal sculptor to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Institute of Architects. Paley has completed over 50 site-specific works.
